Jules King, promotional product proprietress
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I owned a gardening business in the Vail valley for many years and the work was very seasonal. I needed something to sustain income in the off-season, so I decided to jump into the embroidery world. I was hoping all the connections I had made in the valley living there almost 15 years would serve me well. I still have my clients in Vail and am gradually meeting more people in the mountain communities and Front Range. I embrace learning new things and am always excited to meet new people.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We go above and beyond our clients’ expectations. We accommodate quick turnaround times, large and small orders. We order product samples to help clients make their decision process easier. We are very friendly and demonstrate quality workmanship. We offer embroidery, screen printing, heat transfers, name tags, trophies and many promotional products.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: Meeting new people and helping them grow their business, creating personalized gifts, providing exceptional customer service, hearing about customers loving the work we do, and getting referrals. We also like being able to return the favor and support other local businesses that have supported us.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Much larger online companies may offer services for slightly less. Support local business!
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: The Embroidery Lab was born after the Pet Spot in Edwards saw an embroidered dog collar I had made for my Lab, Gabby. Hence the name, the Embroidery Lab. You may be surprised you can put your logo on just about anything: Frisbees, ice scrapers, pet collars, garments, bags, towels, bamboo spoons, and so many more unique ideas. Let us help! Also, I am also a Realtor at Intero Real Estate in Evergreen. Having both of these great businesses allows me to meet so many wonderful people. I hope our paths may cross someday. I truly love meeting and helping people.
