Through April, this is Architecture Month in Colorado, and the state chapter of the American Institution of Architects is sponsoring an array of activities to bring attention to local design. The big event for building fans this month is “Doors Open Denver,” which will invite folks to stop at both new and historic places on April 25 and 26. Around that, the AIA is offering lectures, film screenings and exhibits. It’s also suggesting visits to the NCAR labs in Boulder, designed by the famous I.M. Pei, and self-guided tours of well-designed breweries throughout the state. The annual Box City, a workshop that teaches kids about architecture, takes place this year on April 18 at Hillside Community Center in Colorado Springs.

There’s info on the website, and a lot of activities are free. 303-446-2266 or . Ray Mark Rinaldi
