The National Weather Service is keeping a close eye on northeastern Colorado because of a series of storms capable of producing tornadoes.

A tornado watch is in effect for that corner of state from 4:35 p.m. until midnight.

A tornado warning is in effect for north-central Yuma County until 6 p.m. after radar indicated rotation.

An earlier warning for central Washington County expired at 4:45 p.m. and an earlier warning for Yuma County expired at 4:15 p.m.
