
Sunday will bring slightly cooler temperatures and possible thunderstorms as Colorado’s monsoon season continues.
The high temperature in Denver will be around 87 degrees, according to the National Weather Service Boulder’s forecast. There is a 40% chance of showers after 1 p.m. Wind gusts could reach 15 miles per hour.
The weather service warned outdoor enthusiasts to be cautious Sunday if they are heading to lakes for outdoor recreation.
Sunday night carries a 20% chance of thunderstorms before 7 p.m. The evening will be mostly cloudy with a low around 62 degrees.
Monday brings a higher probability of thunderstorms between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The chance of precipitation is 60% with showers most likely after 5 p.m., according to the forecast.
Tuesday also could be wet but dryer, hotter weather will return on Wednesday, according to the weather service’s outlook.
