
1 Christmas lights taken off roof. On April 5, a man called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies to report that his Christmas lights had been taken off his roof and placed in his yard in the 7000 block of South Newland Street, Columbine (Littleton). The man suspected a neighborhood teen was the culprit.
2 Woman tackled, knocked off longboard. A woman called deputies on April 10 after a man tackled her while she was riding her longboard. Deputies went to the 12000 block of West Stanford Drive in the Morrison area and spoke to the woman, who said she noticed a man running along a path as she was riding her board. When he got close, he tackled and injured her. She screamed for him to get off and he did so. Authorities did not locate the suspect.
3 Would-be shoplifter flees without merchandise. A loss prevention officer called deputies on April 6 after a suspect tried to shoplift a cartful of items at Burlington Coat Factory, 8055 W. Bowles Ave. in the Littleton area, but fled when he couldn’t get the cart through the entrance.
4 License plate stolen, replaced. On April 6, a man living in the 10300 block of West Kenyon Drive in the Littleton area called deputies to report that a license plate had been taken from his trailer and replaced with a stolen one.
5 Woman finds possible dried cola on her car. On April 8, a woman reported finding some kind of dried liquid, possibly cola, on her car in the 10000 block of Dakan Mountain, Ken-Caryl. She suspected a neighbor’s son of the vandalism, but did not want him charged because she feared retaliation.
