Police in Aurora have arrested two men, a woman and a juvenile in connection with three early Friday armed robberies and say they are investigating if the group was involved in other heists in Commerce City and Denver.
Authorities identified the adult suspects as Donnell Devon Carter, 20, Devante Lajuan Hall, 22, and Monique Roshay Guion, 18. Police did not identify the male juvenile arrested in the case.
Officials say the four are all being charged with multiple counts of aggravated robbery.
The first robbery was reported at about 2:15 a.m. in Aurora at the 7-Eleven near Interstate-225 and Iliff Avenue.
As police were searching the area for the suspects in the robbery another 7-Eleven was robbed nearby in Denver at East 11th Avenue and Yosemite Street, according to Sgt. Chris Amsler.
Soon after, Aurora police were called to East11th Avenue and Havana Street where another convenience store was robbed, authorities say.
At about 4:15 a.m. Aurora police spotted the suspects near Exposition Avenue and Havana Street. Officers tried to stop their vehicle, a black Pontiac Trans Am, at which point the suspects allegedly fled.
The short pursuit ended nearby when the vehicle, allegedly driven by Guion, crashed, according to police.
Amsler says all the suspects were taken into custody. No one was injured in any of the robberies, the pursuit or the crash, Amsler said.
“Detectives are still investigating the robberies,” Aurora police said in a news release. “(Investigators are) working with the Denver Police Department and Commerce City Police Department in regards to other robberies that took place early Friday morning involving the same suspects.”
Amsler initially said all four arrested were adults.
