1 Junk mail used to track suspect. A woman was issued a municipal summons for illegal dumping April 20 after police tracked her down using mail left in the Dumpster on private property near the 7900 block of Vance Drive, Arvada.

2 Fight, drug possession lead to arrest. A woman was arrested April 16 near West 62nd Avenue and Indepence Street, Arvada, after lying to police that her boyfriend had punched her “at least 20 times” when she had been the attacker. She faced additional charges after police discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on her.

3 Caught in the act. Police called to a theft in progress April 17 at Kohl’s, 15860 W. 64th Ave. in Arvada, were talking to one of the suspects in her car when her friend walked out of the store, saw the police and ran back inside. After being caught, she admitted that text messages would show a plan to shoplift.

4 No-trespass warning ignored. A woman previously issued a no- trespass order for apartments in the 7200 block of Grandview Avenue in Arvada was arrested April 17 after police found her drinking in one of the units.

5 Car theft ruins morning. A man missing his house and car keys woke up April 19 to discover his 2003 Ford Focus had been stolen from his home in the 7600 block of Barbara Ann Drive in Arvada.

6 Woman lies for nothing, arrested. Police called to a fight April 20 at Chuck E. Cheese’s, 9301 W. 58th Ave., Arvada, contacted an intoxicated woman who repeatedly lied about her name and birth date. She was arrested after admitting to lying in order to protect her boyfriend.
