Authorities in Jefferson County are looking for a man who has been impersonating a sheriff’s deputy.
The man apparently pulled over two teenagers April 19 in the North Ranch Road area and began yelling at them for driving through vegetation. He then asked for a driver’s license and registration, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect is not a sheriff’s employee and is a resident of the area, but he is not being identified pending the investigation.
Officials believe he has committed similar violations in the past.
