The Jefferson County coroner’s office on Friday identified the 10-year-old Wheat Ridge boy who was found dead at his grandmother’s home this week.

Angel Goodwin died Tuesday, and The preliminary autopsy results were inconclusive as to the cause of death, the coroner’s office said Friday. During a news conference Thursday, police said Goodwin had several developmental disabilities and the investigation is ongoing.

“When a 10-year-old with multiple disabilities is found unresponsive, that’s suspicious to us,” Wheat Ridge police spokesman John Romero said Thursday.

about 11 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 2600 block of Chase Street.

Romero said police had been to the home with state Department of Human Services officials before as part of a previous investigation. No arrests have been made, police said.
