Police in Fountain have arrested two people in connection with the armed robbery on Sunday of a man trying to sell his iPhone through Craigslist.

Cory Bell, 20, and Chyanna Pritchard, 20, are being held at the El Paso County jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and felony menacing.

Police say Bell was also wanted on three unrelated felony warrants.

Officers were called on Sunday to the area of 5485 Alegre Street on reports of a robbery. Police say they found a victim who told investigators he had met the suspects during a purported Craigslist sale.

“As the victim was preparing to complete the transaction, (Bell) pulled out a black handgun (and) took the victim’s iPhone,” police said in a news release.

Investigators identified Pritchard as a suspect, who lived several blocks from where the robbery occurred, police said.

Officials say they obtained and executed a search warrant on her home and the two were arrested there.

Police say they recovered the victim’s phone during the arrest.
