Deputies in Pueblo County found two men dead in an apparent shooting Monday night at a home just north of the St. Charles reservoirs.
Sheriff’s deputies were called out to a home on the 2700 block of Little Burnt Mill Road in a rural part of the county at about 6:30 p.m. on reports of a shooting.
“Deputies arrived at the residence to discover two deceased adult males,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release. “It is believed the two men died from gunshot wounds.”
Authorities say a woman and a small child who were in the residence at the time of the shooting were transported to the sheriff’s office for an interview, but are not considered suspects in the case.
“Both men are associated with the residence,” the release said.
The sheriff’s office declined to release the identities of the two men and said their investigation remains ongoing.
