1 Road rage turned drug raid. A driver and passenger reported April 29 that they had been tailgated by another driver on their way home to the 1200 block of Golden Circle. They said the other driver then parked his vehicle and lifted his shirt to reveal a gun as he entered their building. When Golden police arrived on scene, they discovered the man was an officer with West Metro Drug Task Force and was there on duty.

2 Stolen signs in Golden. A Golden city employee reported April 28 that it was the second time he had to replace the two street signs at the intersection of Depot and Archer streets. There were no leads.

3 More signs of theft. A Golden city employee reported April 29 an ongoing issue with “No Parking” signs missing from the north side of West Fifth Avenue west of Orchard Street. One sign was found behind a Dumpster in the area and appeared to have been either cut or hit by a car.

4 Drunken boyfriend. A man was sent to the hospital April 30 after wrecking his vehicle in a rollover accident while reportedly drunk in the 8000 block of Grizzly Way, Evergreen. The man’s girlfriend reported he left her home drunk. She said she tried to stop him from driving, but he was angry and left to go to the liquor store, hitting trees along the driveway before crashing.

5 Paintball hits car. A Jeffco Sheriff’s deputy was approached April 28 by a man who reported a paintball had just hit his vehicle as he drove past Hiwan Homestead, 4208 Timbervale Drive, Evergreen. The deputy wiped the paint off with a towlette. There were no suspects.
