LOS ANGELES — Rockies star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers after his at-bat in the third inning.
The club reported that Tulowitzki left the game with left quadriceps tightness. The Rockies’ preliminary report listed him as day to day.
Tulowiitzki’s injury history makes the news worrisome, because he has missed 222 games over the past three seasons and has had leg injuries dating back to the 2008 season.
Tulo hit .340 with a .432 on-base percentage and 21 homers last season, but his season ended after just 91 games and he underwent season-ending surgery to replace a torn labrum in his left hip.
