Aurora fire investigators said Wednesday they are awaiting a coroner’s report before releasing further information on a that was ruled intentionally set.
The Adams County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of the woman killed in the early morning blaze on the 1800 block of North Carson Street.
The Aurora Fire Department says it could be up to six weeks before the coroner’s office releases its report.
Officials called the fire “incendiary,” but did not elaborate.
Fire officials initially said the victim was taken to the hospital before announcing her death shortly thereafter. Photos from the fire showed heavy damage to the affected home.
