A man who shot his wife in the ankles before fatally shooting a neighbor outside their Denver home has been convicted of murder.
Daniel Abeyta, 33, was convicted of second-degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse by a .
He faced two first-degree murder charges, but the jury settled on a lesser included charge in the case.
Abeyta fatally shot 46-year-old Sandra Roskilly in an August 2013 incident in the 2200 block of South Irving Street in southwest Denver.
He will be sentenced July 27.
