EXPERIENCE life in the 1840s
Dozens of living-history interpreters will take visitors to Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site back to the 1840s as part of a Living History Encampment on June 6. A working trading post with craftsmen, cooks, hunters, laborers, traders and others will offer demonstrations along with carpentry, blacksmithing, woodcarving and the firing of cannons. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission is $3 for ages 13 and over, $2 ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.
