June 13: Poudre Landmarks Foundation hosts its annual celebration commemorating the first delivery of water to the town of Fort Collins in June 0f 1883. Running of the Weiners dachshund races
June 13: Dachshund owners must register their dogs by June 10 for the fourth annual benefit for the Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic. The fee is $5 per dog (up to three dogs) and $2 for additional dogs. The fee is waived for any rescue groups that would like to race a dachshund that is available for adoption. All dogs must be current on their rabies vaccinations and be kept on a leash. Doors open at 11 a.m. and competitors may begin checking in at noon (there is no race-day registration). Spring Artisans Community Event Spectacular
June 6: “It’s Time to Shoppe till you Drop, Knit till you quit!” is the theme for Bags by CAB’s — Yarne Shoppe’s sixth annual showcase of local designers, entrepreneurs and designers, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Gentle Spirit Alpaca Farm, Denver’s Dress Up Knits and Wild Woman Designs are among the participants.
