Re: “State spends $12,000 on five treadmill work stations, upsets lawmaker,” June 22 news story.
Let me get this straight. There is $12,000 sitting in a state account, left over from a grant. Employees want to use this money to buy treadmill work stations. Sounds like a fantastic use of the funds. With employee buy-in, they are sure to get used. My hunch is this department will have a waiting list to use them. This taxpayer is all for it. What is the concern, Rep. JoAnn Windholz?
