A body was recovered from a lake outside the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs early Saturday morning after witnesses saw someone trying to swim across the lake, according to police.
The name of the apparent drowning victim has not been released pending notification of family members, according to a Colorado Springs police report.
The victim was not a guest at the hotel, the police report says.
Police were called at 1:32 a.m. after witnesses said they lost track of the person who was trying to swim across the lake.
The body was discovered at about 5 a.m., the report says.
“No foul play was suspected,” the report says.
