Many of you have expressed displeasure with the Avalanche’s 20th anniversary logo that was unveiled by the team Thursday. It’s straight-forward, simple — kind of boring. To that end, the Avs have said “minor alterations” will be made to their uniforms at next week’s NHL draft in Sunrise, Fla. If it’s the same designer, or producer, the majority probably won’t be pleased.
Given that the Avs will likely come up with special uniforms for February’s NHL Stadium Series game against the Detroit Red Wings at Coors Field, a handful of talented Avs fans have sent me uniform mock-ups over the past month. I’ve published a few, and here’s another. It comes from George Burgundy — Mr. Burgundy and Blue — and I like what I see, including the breezer (pant) stripes/art. You?
