University of Colorado runner Erin Clark was named the Pac-12 Women’s Track and Field Freshmen of the Year on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old frrom Eugene, Ore., won the 3,000-meter steeplechase Saturday at the Pac-12 track and field championships in Los Angeles. She also placed second in the 5K race on Sunday.
Her time of 10:02.16 for the steeplechase is the fourth-best all-time in Colorado history, behind Olympiians Jenny Simpson, Emma Cobern and Shalaya Kipp.
Clark is the first Buffalo to earn a Pac-12 postseason track honor.
