When you’re Prince, the traditional ways of promoting and releasing music don’t apply. Prince is rock royalty, and if he wants to randomly release music and randomly shake up his style and band on a whim, he damn well can. On Wednesday, Prince shared the bone crushing new track, “HARDROCKLOVER,” which recasts the Minnesota native as a jam band leader. Prince pulverizes his guitar with extended noodling that we didn’t hear in his previous release.
