LAS VEGAS — Emmanuel Mudiay had 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in his first NBA summer league game, helping the Nuggets rout the Atlanta Hawks 86-71 at Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus Friday.

“All glory to God. I’m just glad I get the chance to play basketball again,” the Nuggets’ first-round pick in the June 25 draft said in a television interview after the game. “It’s been a good experience getting to play with these guys, and I’m glad we got the victory. That’s the main focus.”

Mudiay made 5-of-15 shots from the floor, including going 0-for-4 from 3-point range. But the No. 7 overall selection looked poised running the show at point guard for Denver, executing well out of pick-and-roll sets.
