Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Denver next week for an event on the economy, The Denver Post has learned.
A Biden spokeswoman declined to provide additional details about the July 21 visit, which has not yet been publicly announced.
Biden is the third Obama administration official expected to visit Colorado in the coming week. Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell will hold a discussion Thursday in Denver with Gov. John Hickenlooper and health officials on opioid drug abuse. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell Friday at the Aspen Institute about the conservation of public lands and connecting young people to the outdoors.
For the vice president, Denver appears to be an annual trip. , Biden attended an event on domestic abuse and raised money for a Democratic congressional candidate. , he toured areas hit hard by the flood.
