A man who police say kidnapped a woman and was found with a gunshot wound to his head Tuesday died from his injuries, said Lt. Catherine Buckley, a police spokeswoman. His time of death was not released.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was found with the gunshot wound when Colorado Springs police arrived at the scene of a crash on southbound Interstate 25 Tuesday night.
The man was in the car with a woman who was believed to be kidnapped, police said.
The woman was taken to the hospital. As of Wednesday morning, her condition is unknown.
