Rocky Ford police, with the assistance of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found early Friday.
The body was found about 6:30 a.m. in the 600 block of South Eighth Street, police say.
“The victim is in her 30s and had been staying in the home where she was discovered,” CBI said in a news release. “The victim’s name is not being released until next of kin have been notified.”
Police are investigating the relationship between the victim and residents of the home, officials say.
Investigators say a male suspect is being questioned. He was arrested on outstanding, unrelated warrants. Police did not identify him.
Rocky Ford is a town of about 4,000 that lies roughly 50 miles east of Pueblo.
