GoodBird Kitchen is coming to the Stanley Marketplace, the urban marketplace thatap opening in spring 2016 at the former Stanley Aviation headquarters on the border of Stapleton and Aurora. , chef-owner of the Big Red F Restaurant Group, has signed a lease on the space.
GoodBird Kitchen will be a smaller, streamlined version of , which is known for its fried and rotisserie chicken, local farm fresh sides, and homemade pies.
It won’t have the brewery that the Lafayette location has, but it will can and draft beer will be available from brewmaster and partner Bryan Selders of The Post Brewing Company.
“It will have a similar menu,” said Dana Faulk Query, marketing director at Big Red F Restaurant Group. “We’ll also have green chili mac-and-cheese and mashed potatoes, which are so popular at The Post, and seasonal sides.” Chef-parnter Brett Smith has developed lots of relationships with local farmers.
She calls it a “supreme casual concept,” meaning diners can order at the counter, and get full service at the table after.
“Itap very approachable, and very affordable,” she said.
Prices will start at $7 and top out at $14 for platters. Buckets of chicken and big family meals to-go will be available from walk-up windows.
The new Stanley Marketplace will open as a community hub and gathering space that includes the Stanley Beer Hall and businesses like Kindness Yoga.
