1 Burrito purchase goes bad. A woman reported Aug. 1 that the manager of El Dorado Restaurant, 720 Arapahoe St., tried to take items from her and kick her off the property. The woman was told she could not eat her takeout burrito on the patio, as it was reserved for dine-in customers. A heated argument ensued. The restaurant owner later requested a trespass notice for the customer after receiving a private message from her on Facebook.

2 Thief claims he felt threatened. An employee of Walmart, 952 Swede Gulch Road, Evergreen, reported he saw a man fill a backpack with items and walk out the door Aug. 5. When confronted, the suspect pushed the employee against the wall, scratched him and fled. The suspect was traced through his license plates and when contacted by phone, admitted to the theft. He claimed the employee who confronted him scared him. He was issued a summons for theft and third-degree assault.

3 Man with cane causes disturbance. Golden police received a call about a man who was yelling and carrying a bat or sledgehammer Aug. 3 in the 1000 block of Archer Street . Police contacted the suspect, who was a carrying a cane and experiencing a mental health episode. His caretaker was contacted and he was held temporarily.

4 Domestic dodging. A woman was arrested for domestic violence Aug. 5 in the 20000 block of Kingsbury Road, Kittredge, after an argument with her boyfriend in which she sought respite in her car, then slapped him in frustration when he asked her to return to their home.
