1 Facebook causes fight. On Aug. 3, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the 4000 block of South Vivian Court on a report of a male and female arguing in a yard. The deputy contacted the woman who said the fight was over Facebook, as her boyfriend wanted to see her account and she didn’t let him.

2 Daughter’s ex threatens to damage cars. A woman called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on Aug. 6 from the 9000 block of West Cross Drive to report threats from her daughter’s ex boyfriend to damage their vehicles. The woman said not to go to the home.

3 Cocaine user punches shelf. On Aug. 2, a woman called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies to report that her son was high on cocaine and punched a shelving unit in the 10000 block of W. Burgundy Avenue. The man said he fell into the bookshelf, but the woman was adamant he punched it.

4 Suspicious man reported. Employees at Nella’s Frozen Yogurt, 8086 W. Bowles Ave., called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies on Aug. 5 to report a suspicious person. The employees said a man had been hanging around and had a backpack. He stayed after the store was closed and the deputy contacted him, telling him he was not allowed back there.

5 Key card pads damaged at school. On Aug. 6, a school custodian called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies to report that two key card pads had been damaged at Coronado Elementary School, 7922 S. Carr St. The custodian said it appeared someone had put a cigarette lighter up to the pad and burned it to where they were inoperable.
