
1 Quadruple trouble for employee. A man with two restraining orders prohibiting him from drinking was arrested Aug. 27 in the area of 8100 West 50th Avenue in Arvada after allegedly drinking two bottles of Fireball whiskey. He then drove a company truck and became involved in two hit-and-run incidents.
2 Drinking déj… vu. A man sitting near West 52nd Avenue and Saulsbury Street in Arvada was seen by an officer trying to conceal an open bottle of booze Aug. 28. The two recognized each other, as the drinker had been caught previously with an open container by the same officer. He was ticketed again.
3 Good deed punished. An elderly man letting a female neighbor stay at his house after she was evicted was visited Aug. 29 by police looking for a shoplifting suspect who fled the King Soopers at 6350 Sheridan Blvd. in Arvada. The woman had gone on a shoplifting spree after borrowing his car and was arrested.
4 Bar drama. An evening of drinking with a friend Aug. 28 at Malone’s Clubhouse Grill, 14455 W. 64th Ave., Arvada, ended for a woman when she was slapped in the face from behind. She turned around to see her ex-boyfriend. The man fled when bar patrons began yelling at him; he was arrested a short time later.
5 Husband, wife arrested. Police arrested a woman and her husband Aug. 28 near Olde Wadsworth Boulevard and West 64th Avenue in Arvada after they were pulled over for traffic violations. The woman gave police a false name to cover for her husband, who had a protection order barring him from being near her.
