
1 Too young to buy booze. A group of underage boys were refused alcohol from the F and G Liquors at 1407 W. 84th Ave, Federal Heights, on Aug. 14. One of the boys threw his cell phone at the door, so the owner smashed it.
2 Hot dog. Police were called Sept. 3 because someone noticed that someone else left a Chihuahua locked in a car while shopping at the Walmart at 9901 Grant St., Thornton. It was nearly 110 degrees in the car, so an officer removed the dog and took it to the police station. The owner was cited.
3 Erratic dancing. A drunken man was listening to music outside the King Soopers at 1575 W. 84th Ave., Federal Heights, punching the air and having trouble standing up on Aug. 14. An officer found an open can of beer on the man. He was arrested.
4 Dog feuds. Police were called to the 11400 block of Community Center Drive, Northglenn, by a woman who said her neighbors threatened to kill her and her dogs Sept. 8. The neighbors said they didn’t threaten the woman, and they showed officers several videos of the woman’s dogs running around without a leash. She was cited.
5 Family at work. A clerk at the 7-Eleven at 3901 E. 112th Ave., Thornton, called police because his drunken cousin punched the front door and broke the glass Sept. 3. He was arrested.
6 Wheelies on the run. A Northglenn police officer was following a motorcycle rider who was speeding on the 1600 block of West 104th Avenue on Sept. 8. The rider saw the officer, popped a wheelie and then sped away nearing 80 mph into Westminster.
