Mary’s Medicinals, a Denver-based marijuana business specializing in , has entered Oregon, growing its availability of topical cannabis products to four states nationwide.
Already sold in California, Colorado and Washington, is rolling out its line in Oregon gradually, starting with the adhesive transdermal patches through an official partnership with . Self-proclaimed as “Oregon’s premier farm-to-table cannabis company,” Oregrown is manufacturing and distributing products created by Mary’s Medicinals — the first company to offer in its lineup cannabis compounds THCa (non-psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) and CBN (cannabinol), according to a news release.

“Our industry is helping a lot of people with cannabis medicine, but the delivery methods aren’t always convenient for patients. That’s why Mary’s developed the transdermal patch: so patients could have a long-lasting, accurate, clean and safe method of taking their cannabis-based medicine,” said in a statement to The Cannabist.
What started as a medical-only line pioneering accurate cannabinoid dosing in alternative vehicles in 2013, Mary’s Medicinals chief scientist, Noel Palmer, has continued to develop different delivery methods with unique cannabinoid extractions said to have pain-relieving qualities. In 2014, the company took home at the Washington Cannabis Cup. Other Mary’s Medicinals product offerings include a transdermal pen, capsules and topical compound — available medically and recreationally (except California) — plus a special line .
The individually sold transdermal patches (10mg or 20mg) retail for $10-$16 (varies by dispensary) and are CBD (cannabidiol), THCa, CBN, CBD:THC 1:1 (Cannabidiol/Tetrahydrocannabinol), THC Indica and THC Sativa. Each 2-inch by 2-inch square is clinical-grade and latex-free, permeating the bloodstream for rapid action and lasting effect.
Outside of Oregrown’s Bend dispensary location, which will have recreational sales starting Oct. 1, a company representative said Mary’s Medicinals patches will be available to medical and recreational customers at additional locations throughout the state “within about a month.”
