WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton no longer has the sole support of two major Colorado activists, who recently gave money to the growing effort to convince Vice President Joe Biden to run for the White House.

As by Politico, the liberal power couple of Scott Miller and Tim Gill together have given $50,000 to the Draft Biden campaign, which matches the $50,000 the two gave to the Ready for Hillary effort.

Politico also noted Miller has resigned from the board of Correct the Record, a pro-Clinton political action committee.

The move adds a new layer of intrigue to the ongoing question of whether top Democratic donors are looking for another alternative to Clinton, though Miller stressed in the piece the latest move was based on the personal relationship the two activists had with Biden.

“To the extent that you are ever personal friends with a politician, I would put the vice president in that category,” Miller told Politico. “When I joined Correct the Record earlier this summer, I had no inclination that the vice president was even considering this.”

Jeffrey Schneider, a representative for Miller and Gill, confirmed the accuracy of the Politico piece but offered no further comment.
