A under false pretense likely stole a wallet, credit cards, and car keys from a locker room, before stealing a car from the center’s parking lot.

The incident happened just after 6 a.m. Tuesday at the center, 1470 10th St., according to a Golden Police Department media release.

The suspect, a man, entered the center and told an attendant that he was looking for his brother. The man was allowed past the front desk and went into the men’s locker room. He quickly left the building about ten minutes later, police said.

About the same time, several items, including car keys, were stolen from a locker. The keys were to a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta, which was also stolen and has not been recovered.
