According to The New York Times, “China, the world’s leading emitter of greenhouse gases from coal, has been burning up to 17 percent more coal a year than the government previously disclosed, according to newly released data.” Thatap about a billion tons more per year. A few months ago, President Obama was bragging about his wonderful deal that would limit Chinese emissions — by 2030, after doubling the present amount. Now the Great Negotiator is trying to rope us into a CO2 limitation treaty that will do nothing for the phony “climate crisis.” It will only destroy our economy. Other Asian countries are also racing ahead; Reuters reports that more than 500 coal-fired generating plants are under construction, and at least 1,000 more are on the drawing boards. The “developing” countries also want us to pay them $100 billion annually. Only Obama could do so much to “help” us.
