The Colorado Department of Transportation has finished its bridge repair on Interstate 225 just hours before rush hour and a snow storm descend on Denver.
The two left lanes of southbound I-225 were closed over the Colfax Avenue Bridge for about two hours. The expansion joint repair was announced around 2 p.m., just as the work was scheduled to begin.
Crews wanted to have the repairs completed before the forecast snowstorm hit the Denver area, CDOT said.
