
Authorities have released the name of a 23-year-old man whose body was dumped beside Interstate 76 over the weekend.
Jose “Peppy” Manriquez, who lived in Adams County with his mother and younger brother, was identified as the homicide victim, according to a news release by Morgan County Sheriff Jim Crone.
Manriquez also went by the alias Jose Jaquez.
Jose may have last been seen Friday night in a bar near 65th Avenue and Federal Boulevard.
Jose was shot to death at an unknown location, and his body dumped on the shoulder of the westbound lanes of I-76 at about mile marker 85, sometime around 4:30 to 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
