Re: “The end — a Super Bowl — justifies the meanness,” Nov. 13 Mark Kiszla column.
Mark Kiszla’s statements that “Dirty football wins” and “If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying” may be true. Indeed, if I cheat at cards, I am more likely to win. Somehow, however, hoisting a Super Bowl trophy gained through the above techniques seems to take a bit of the shine off the trophy.
I hope the youth of our community don’t see this as a model for how they should conduct their sports activities and, more importantly, how they should live their lives. Being a man involves much more than winning a trophy gained through playing dirty and cheating.
