Eastbound Interstate 70 near Lookout Mountain was closed briefly Friday afternoon because of an aggressive cow.
“We don’t know if it’s a bull or a steer,” said Jacki Kelley with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. “All we know is it’s a big damn cow.”
Deputies and animal control on scene managed to wrangle the animal with a rope around its neck and tackle it to the ground, Kelley said.
The incident took place on Eastbound I-70 near Lookout Mountain in Mount Vernon Canyon, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.
The cow was aggressive to a couple of vehicles, said Kelley, “probably because he’s scared to death.”
