Fire departments in El Paso County are battling a wildfire east of Colorado Springs, and the fire has burned some structures and threatens several others, according to firefighters.
A few people have suffered symptoms of smoke inhalation, according to an emergency medical technician for the Ellicott Fire Department.
The wildfire broke out by the Antioch Community Church near Boone and Fossinger roads, the employee says. That is north of the small town of Truckton.
At least three fire departments are fighting the wildfire, she said.
