Denver snow plow drivers are clearing snow off frozen roads throughout the city Monday after a storm dropped several inches of new snow overnight.
The city workers are also dropping de-icing chemicals on Denver’s largest streets, mostly including streets with stripes.
Drivers will remain on duty Monday, as needed, according to a news release by Nancy Kuhn, spokeswoman for Denver Public Works.
“Drivers could encounter some slick conditions this morning and should go slowly, allowing extra time and stopping distance on the roads and using caution on bridges and overpasses,” Kuhn said.
The cities of Aurora, Lakewood and Centennial are on accident alert status.
