Two Los Angeles men were arrested in western Colorado on Friday after deputies found seven pounds of meth in the spare tire of their vehicle, authorities say.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office said the drugs have a street value upwards of about $500,000.
Manuel Campos, 30, and his passenger, Irvin Torres, 25, were booked into the county jail on one count each of possession with intent to distribute meth and special circumstances importing meth.
The men were stopped Friday afternoon near Loma — about 15 miles east of Utah — as they headed eastbound on Interstate 70, the sheriff’s office said.
