Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a 36-year-old man, already facing attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting a police officer, for his role in a home-invasion robbery.
Jason Wood was charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of first-degree burglary in connection to a Sept. 30 home break-in that included a robbery, according to a news release from Lynn Kimbrough, Morrissey’s spokeswoman.
Wood and an accomplice allegedly burst into a home in the 3800 block of Perry Street and and demanded money owed on a drug deal, according to Denver court records.
Wood then struck a man on the side of the head with a black handgun, the record says. He and his accomplice stole five tattoo equipment machines and a woman’s purse, court records show.
