1 Mushroom trip turns bloody. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance Dec. 26 in the 20000 block of Colorado 74 near Kittredge, where they found a man with blood on his hands, side, back and face. The man said he ate psychedelic mushrooms, then jumped through an upstairs window of his house, believing he was escaping murder by “the mafia.” He was taken to a hospital.

2 Pet cleanup confrontation. Jeffco deputies responded to a disturbance Dec. 20 in the 20000 block of Stansbery Street, Conifer. A resident said he confronted a dog walker about dog feces he did not immediately pick up. A neighbor saw their confrontation, called police and got between the two men. There were no charges.

3 Woman assaulted at bar. A man was arrested Dec. 20 at Cactus Jack’s, 4651 Jefferson County 73, Evergreen, for assaulting a woman. The man, who was drunk and bloody, said he was attacked by a man, but witnesses saw the woman tackle him after he knocked her to the ground.

4 Couple on notice. Golden Police issued a man and a woman a warning Dec. 18 for performing sex acts in a car in the parking lot of Kohl’s, 16700 W. Colfax Ave., Golden. The report said the couple’s actions were plainly visible and did not stop when an officer approached.

5 Rowdy at El Rancho. One man was issued a summons and another was arrested on a warrant after being kicked out of El Rancho, 29260 U.S. 40, Evergreen, for intoxication Dec. 20. Witnesses saw someone throwing things, and police found a window broken at a bank next door.
