
1 Known shoplifter strikes again. On Dec. 23, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a theft of 23 fragrance bottles from a shop in the 8000 block of West Bowles Avenue in the Littleton area. A worker said the suspect had taken fragrance bottles previously.
2 Mail theft suspected. A man called a deputy Dec. 24 after he suspected his mail had been stolen in the 4000 block of South Lakehurst Way in the Littleton area. The man said he was expecting checks from insurance companies and a renter. The deputy suggested the possibility that the mail carrier had taken it for safekeeping.
3 Unoccupied, running car reported.On Dec. 20, a man called deputies to report an unoccupied car that had been running for at least four hours in the 6000 block of West Bowles Avenue, Columbine (Littleton). The deputy failed to reach the person to whom the car was registered, and finally turned off the car and secured the keys and purse that were inside.
4 Tree chopped down. A man called deputies Dec. 24 after he noticed a tree had been illegally felled in the open space near Blue Heron Elementary School, 5987 W. Dorado Drive, in the Littleton area. The deputy saw that a small tree had been chopped with an ax and found some party popper firecrackers nearby. The stump was removed and pictures were taken.
5 Drinking starts argument. On Dec. 14, deputies responded to an argument between an estranged couple in the 10000 block of West Weaver Drive, Columbine (Littleton). Both parties admitted to drinking and the woman called her son to pick her up.
