
1 Woman receives threatening note. On Jan. 2, a woman called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies after she received a threatening note in her mailbox in the 10000 block of Elk Head Range Road, Ken-Caryl. The woman said the anonymous note told her to pick up her dog’s excrement and to control her son. She said she felt she was being watched by someone.
2 Disturbance at New Year’s party. Deputies responded to a fight Jan. 1 between a drunken male and several people at a party in the 4000 block of South Swadley Street in the Morrison area. A homeowner there said her son came home severely intoxicated and starting fighting with several guests. He was restrained by his brother and deputies recommended he stay in a separate part of the house while everyone “slept it off.”
3 Suspicious bag found on trail. On Dec. 27, a woman called deputies after finding a suspicious bag on a trail near C-470 and South Wadsworth Boulevard. The woman said she poked the bag with a stick and found some bike materials inside frozen together. The deputy discovered that an animal may have nested inside the bag.
4 Woman finds hole in glass door. A woman called deputies on Dec. 28 to report damage to her door in the 10000 block of West Fair Drive in the Littleton area. The woman said she returned home and noticed a 2-inch hole in her glass door caused by an unknown object. The home backs up to a trail, but she was unable to track any footprints.
