COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A man is recovering after his wife accidentally shot him in the leg at an indoor firing range in north Colorado Springs.
Kim Shugart, co-founder of the Magnum Shooting Center, says the woman shot her husband with a .22-caliber handgun just before noon Friday. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shugart tells The Gazette (http://goo.gl/Vm1JEA ) it was the first time an accidental shooting happened at the business, adding, “I wish we as a society could stop all accidents from happening, not just accidental discharges of a firearm.”
After the shooting, business at the range remained steady.
