Steps that Littleton Public Schools says it has taken since the 2013 :
• Expanded the programming available for students with significant behavioral and emotional challenges.
• Improved student and family access to quality, licensed school-based mental health staff
• Supported the ongoing recovery and resiliency activities related to crisis response in our schools
• Invested $810,000 additional ongoing dollars beginning in the 2014-15 school year for additional counselors, psychologists and social workers in district schools.
• Increased security measures and partnered with local law enforcement agencies to increase the number of School Resource Officers in district schools.
• Improved the threat assessment process.
