Welltok
CafeWell Concierge by Welltok uses money, rewards — and not nagging — to get people healthy.
Who wants to be nagged about eating healthy and exercising? That’s not . It talks money. The mobile app and personalized health program developed by Welltok rewards users with cash, gift cards or discounts. Drink more water? Stop smoking? Get $20 off your monthly insurance premium (one of the rewards offered to). By incentivizing workers, WellTok has helped its corporate and health-system clients save money as their own workers take better care of themselves. And success has attracted the likes of IBM, an investor and supplier of Watson. The machine-learning technology is to quickly learn a person’s interests and goals and offer a personal health plan. Fresh off yet , Welltok heads into 2016 with plans to expand its own goal of engaging consumers to stick with their health goals — be it seniors, pregnant women or children. “What the guts of the platform does is create personal health itineraries for consumers,” said Michelle Snyder, the company’s chief marketing officer.
