This summer, frontmen-turned-solo-stars and will set out on a 19-show tour of North America, kicking off in Columbus, OH on June 21.
The “Rock Paper Scissors” tour will go on to stop at Denver’s Pepsi Center on July 12. A presale for tickets goes from Jan. 26 at 1p.m. to Jan. 28 via . General on-sale to the public begins on Feb. 1 via .
The “Rock Paper Scissors” tour will feature Sting and Peter Gabriel solo sets and collaborative sets, wherein the two play songs from each others’ catalogs.
Asked how they named the tour, Peter Gabriel said:
We were looking for a name and “Rock Paper Scissors” came up. “Rock” makes music; “Paper,” they made an offer we couldn’t refuse; and after we do the business, we cut away.”
Sting and Gabriel previously toured together with Amnesty International in 1986. The two have remained friends since.
